I wasn't AF yesterday but extremely moderate. I had a single G&T at lunchtime with friends. It went down very well and I was thinking I might have more later. But the thought of the extra calories (and the fact that the moment passed) meant I didn't bother.:)
Room on the Broom is a children's book HB. It's one of Julia Donaldson's excellent books written in rhyme and illustrated by Axel Scheffler. Probably the most famous one is The Gruffalo. If you have any young children in the family it makes a perfect gift. What I particularly like about them is that they make reading aloud to children accessible for adults who might feel a bit self conscious. The rhymes always induce reading with expression.0 -
Thanks Maman. I don't have children so I don't keep up with modern children's writers, although I still have all my Beatrix Potter books. Showing my age there .... Next time I'm in the library I'll check her books out.
