Me too, Back From. I know that if I'd left it any longer it would have been a much tougher proposition and I'm not sure I would have made it. The truth is I absolutely daren't have a drink because I'm not 100% confident I could be as strong the next time. It simply isn't worth the risk.
Well done on the AF weekend, Maman. Like you, I can always refuse a mince pie. *bleargh*Nice to see the thread so busy!!! In December....:snow_laug:santa2:Poor_Single_lady wrote: »6/14 including today.
Not going too well but not drinking at lunch is surprisingly nice.
Trying for none till Saturday but this time of year may need to Adjust plans. But trying.
Hang on in there PSL. The lunchtime thing is a revelation, isn't it? December is a tough time of year for cutting down because apparently we're incapable of enjoying ourselves without booze. Really? What does that say about our lives?
You're doing amazingly well.
365 for 2018 please, Shaggy and 12/31 for December.Better is good enough.0 -

Thanks so much for all your hard work - seeing the annual totals come up is great - I hadn't realised that I had beaten my target so I was well chuffed :j
Could you please put me down for a target of 150 again for next year?0 -

Oh I lurrrrve mince piesSome years I get organised and make my own mince filling in September and then leave it to do its thing till December and then bake it in pies. But this year I haven't been that organised. When it's home-made the filling is delicious.

I think it's wonderful that we're keeping up the good habits we've set for the rest of the year.Honey_Bear wrote: »Well done on the AF weekend, Maman. Like you, I can always refuse a mince pie. *bleargh*
I'm taking the same approach to festive food as booze i.e. cutting down. I quite like mincemeat (will happily lick the spoon when I make some for DH next week:D) but not that keen on pastry so I'm prioritising my treats. Like I said yesterday, I've become quite fussy with what I drink. No longer will I pour just anything alcoholic down my neck.:o
7 AFDs please Shaggy.0 -

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0
