Must be a big relief for you paspatur - enjoy your AF celebration :j
Two smileys for me today and aiming for the 'target beaten' one tomorrow - funny how they motivate us so much isn't it
14/14 for today please Shaggy0 -
Good news paspatur, that must be a relief.0

Thank you Maman, Sukeyboo and Cathy Bird
It is a huge relief and I am delighted
Have decided I want to give up alcohol completely rather than counting days
If the operation had been necessary it involved messing with my brain and would have caused balance problems and I was terrified
So why do I voluntarily pour alcohol down my throat which messes with my brain and causes balance problems????0 -
5/7 for me this evening. I was wavering as OH is in Scotland for work but decided drinking because I am lonely is silly. Going to enjoy sole custody of the remote and watch a couple of films I recorded instead. Murder on the Orient Express first, the 1970's one. Can't remember who did it either!
Paspatur, so pleased for you, and staying AF too - well done!0 -
Enjoy your evening WBF . It sounds great! Well done for resisting. Loneliness is one of the HALT triggers so very difficult. Hope you've got some treats to settle down with. Hot chocolate is good.:D0

Hiya, I've been reading your thread for the last few nights and you all seem a really lovely, supportive group so I'd love to join if that's ok.
I mainly want to have more AF days as there always seems to be a reason to have a glass of wine....good news, bad news, bored, happy, sad, tired...you name it, usually it is just one or two glasses but just too often.
After a big op at the beginning of this year I've kind of claimed my life back in lots of ways including learning to play the guitar. I need to be AF more so I can practise more...I seem to being all fingers and thumbs if I even have one glass of wine.
So, i'd like to go for 20 AF in December. Really want to do this despite it being my birthday month, Christmas and lots of meals out etc. My plan is to be the designated driver a lot...that way I can't drink and my friends will love me
I'm not sure if i'll manage 20 but I'll be honest if I don't...no point cheating myself. I'm actually excited about being AF more...how long will that last!!0 -
Welcome to the thread Mudbath and good luck in December! Driving is a good strategy, it sounds like a sensible plan.0
