13/15 please Shaggy and I think I will try to achieve 15 for December. Thought about trying the lower number and beating it approach but rather suspect I’d be more likely to do the get to lower number and stop approach! At least with 15 I will need to try and reduce number of days of drinking. I know I will have a couple of midweek visits to Christmas markets so need to allow for that by reduced drinking at the weekend. Fingers crossed folks
  • 19/24 please Shaggy

Part of me is dreading December. Going to try and minimise alcohol during the week where possible. The weekends are looking quite busy for drinking all the way through to January.

I dreaded all sorts of episodes, Poor Single Lady, until I knocked it on the head completely. Why I found it so impossible to just not drink on those evenings / weekends (even Christmas) is beyond me, probably because I allowed myself the choice. Now there's no choice - this life or the messy one I had before. That makes it very easy.

So glad there are several of us who do puzzles! When I was younger I can remember thinking it was only sados that did them, so I've had to eat my words on that. One of the ones I bought at the Christmas Fair is a 12 Days of Christmas one that has all the days hidden in the illustration. It's a very chocolate-box-style picture, so just right for a bit of old-fashioned indulgence. Rather looking forward to that. Are they a housework avoidanc.e strategy - you bet!

    Welcome back, Paspatur!

28/30 please Shaggy. I've nearly finished raking up the autumn leaves, so this one will be rather appropriate
    Better is good enough.
  • Thanks Honey Bear for the welcome back
Appointment today ruled out the need for life changing surgery and the relief is immense
Going to celebrate by staying AF rather than by raising a glass
This has been hanging over me since July, time to get on with life
  • 12/14 for last night please Shaggy. I'm out tonight but driving so if I do have a drink it will be only one. Seems a waste of an AFD and would allow me to go over target this month so I might try for an AFD.

I'm going to set a target of 10 for December, which will be a real challenge with the festivities and my birthday
What goes around comes around.....I hope!

Wise decision Maggie. I think that could be a big temptation in December with so much socialising going on. :)

I'm aiming for the moon today. Well the cat on the moon anyhow!:D

    14 AFDs please Shaggy.
