Morning all, thank you for starting us off Hollyharvey.

Hugs and spoons to all that need them today. Fairly bright here hopeful for a dry day, need to go to town for some GF supplies and fancy some liver for supper, also would like to visit library, so had better take my trusty shopping trolley out for an airing.

Slept in until 08:30 so did get about 8 hours in 2 sessions, but don't feel very lively, need a second cup of tea and then give myself a kick. OH is out with dear dog and I hear the DW running, had better load the WM and get that going in case it is fine, then also need to tackle some of the triffids while the ground is wet.

    Have a good day all.

    Morning all

Nice bright day here for a change, I have a wash on the go and another two to go in we should be able to hang it out today.

Waiting for the window man to come today last one to quote and then we can make a decision. I cant wait to have new windows, the last bloke who lived here had leaded windows put in which do not suit the house at all and I have to say I hate them and cant wait for them to go.

Need to have a clean through and later go and get a bit of shopping in, I also want to go and look at door knockers as I have seen one online but it is very expensive  so need to find a cheaper one.

Dinner is unknown as yet but hopefully OH will cook as I am fed up of cooking, I do it all week at work then come home and cook again, I have lost my cooking mo-jo !

    JackieO lovely news x

Specky we freeze almost every cake at work and they defrost really well xx

    Have good days all xx

    Hello everybody.
Where's the summer gone ! The weatherman said it would be dry today but we've had some showers already. Because I'm bl00dy minded I have put the WM on, so I hope it stay fine for at least a couple of hours as I don't own a TD. ( I'm getting concerned for myself as I could not for the life of me remember the word Tumble and had to ask DH, and it's not the first time lately :() I hope my mind is not going, I could cope with my body breaking down, although I probably wouldn't care if I don't know which way is up ! :rotfl:.
Today consists of a hoover round downstairs, clean out the piggies and then some ironing to do.
Going to have another coffee while the WM finishes, then hang it out.
Hugs to all and enjoy the day.

  • Morning (((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

Lousy night, still awake at 3am, feeling rough this morning.

OH bowling so no supper to cook, I will have a jacket spud with cheese and coleslaw. I want to try and finish the bag I am making this afternoon whilst OH is out.

Out for tea tomorrow, so again no supper to cook. I have a pot of leek and potato soup on for tomorrows lunch, OH is having bacon sarnies for lunch today.

It was bright first thing but has clouded over a bit, no rain forecast, whats new????

weather beginning to cloud up a bit at the moment and rain is forecast I am baking this afternoon as I want to make a quiche for Monday and also I dug a bit of gammon from the freezer out and its defrosted so that will go in the slow cooker for a few hours and will do for sliced ham for the next few days it was a decent sized bit and reduced to £2.40 about 2 months ago so once cooked, cooled and sliced a good few salad over the next few days far cheaper than the 'plastic ham' in packets from the supermarket I shall cook it in cola so it will have a nice flavour :)

    I've spent the morning cleaning..!!

    What fun...not!

Dunno what to do with myself now, can't really be arrised to do anything but feel like I always waste my days off by doing nothing interesting or exciting. But I've no money to do anything exciting with so I'll probably just read a book.

'Talking' to you lovely lot as I keep finding myself talking out loud to myself and I'm boring myself :rotfl:

Bed-changing day today, as it's Saturday. The stuff is washed, and I'm afraid I'm not chancing the weather, it's being dried in the TD.

I laid awake til gone 03:30 again, so really tired; fortunately Mia was extremely good on her walk; she's proving to be a real pleasure to deal with. :T

Absolutely tipping it down here today! no washing done although I put a wash on yesterday and forgot to take it out so I'll pop it on for a quick rinse and spin and hung up to dry (or at least overnight and tomorrow I'll take it to my Mum's to dry). If I'm being honest I am being VERY lazy today! All I've managed to do is a little bit of online research, 2 dog walks, a quick sarnie for lunch and I've made some fishcakes for dinner which are now chilling in the fridge. No oooooomf today - time for another cuppa I think :D

Made it back home, through the pouring rain and behind a long long line of foreign visitors admiring castles and lochs and other inanimate objects. Too forever!

The morning with DM was fine, did her shopping and then took her to visit an old friend in the care home. Some of those poor souls there would break your heart. DM always comes away thanking her lucky stars that, despite her advancing years, she's still in her own home, mobile and (mostly) with-it. However, she did say that she's probably going to give up her car when the road tax is next due. That made me sad.

There's piles of post to open and there will be piles of rubbish to put away. My bag needs to be unpacked and then I can sit down and relax. There is washing to be done but it can wait as the rain shows no sign of stopping.

    Afternoon all

Bit of a late one for me as we've been out and about today. This morning we went to DD's for coffee and cuddles with DGS(3), DD wanted to see my new smartphone-it's my first and I am freaking out over using it. Note to self-don't buy one online again!

I had a payg phone and have this one on contract so it's all different. It seemed to use data until OH turned off mobile data and linked it to wifi. Whoops! Still DD made me feel a bit better about it. Just waiting for a case and that film stuff to stick in the front to arrive from Am*zon.

Glad you are feeling more like yourself Jackie O.
LW Mia sounds a sweetie. By the way I still make your nut roast recipe.

    Have a good evening all.
Ps why am I getting a smilie at the top of the page instead of where I wanted it to go?
