update.
bank transfer was made 10pm ish friday night after i sent him acc details and after reading replies here.
money showed in the account almost straight away, this was withdrawn today and is now deep in my pocket. Item is all packed up (had to buy some wrapping paper today hence why its not posted yet) buyer is a happy bunny item to be sent monday via royal mail special delivery next day 1pm
so thanks for all the replies and advice.0 -

What is the "etc etc etc"?
Special Delivery will have adequate insurance assuming the item isn't a prohibited item.
You do realise the seller has the money in his pocket. If anyone should be worried right now it should be the buyer.0 -
Puzzled why the OP things that taking the money from the bank protects them?
In the unlikely event of the money being reclaimed or other banking issue that will put the OP overdrawn with potential charges. Which will ruin their credit file.
I would leave the money in until the items received and everyones happy.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

The OP is safe if the payment was a cash deposit/transfer (as I outlined earlier). I assume they checked with their bank the payment wasn't a cheque deposit.0 -

i don't know of anyway to make a cheque deposit at 10pm ish on a friday night?
as for my problems starting:- how many special delivery items do royal mail loose, its insured for £250 and its nothing illegal (headphones)
taking the money from my bank made me feel better
i thought i was a suspicious person, guess am not the only one by some of the comments made here.

Indeed but an international deposit would show as such.
I don't live in the UK but my main business is there. My out of UK transactions show as such.0 -
Wifes friend (mentioned in post #9) had a UK buyer etc but the payment was being made with a French account.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
