2015 Active Tourer 220d luxury auto.
Had mine for over 2 years and love it. 50+ to the gallon in town; £30/year road tax, low emissions and plenty of performance. Did 5000 miles 2016/17 through Spain and France pulling a caravan and it was flawless.
The auto gearbox is just fabulous. Imperceptible gear changes and quick.0 -

That's the model I should have had when hiring from Avis at Bologna airport. They 'upgraded' me to a Hybrid Auris estate. Didn't feel like an upgrade. Best upgrade I had was from a C class Mercedes to a Porsche Cayenne turbo at Munich airport. Pity I wasn't driving at the time, it was driven by my father in law as my wife and I were on a trip with her parents and I was paying for the hire. Now that was n upgrade.0 -
There's the 2 series Active & Grand Tourers, those horrible looking people carriers that they brought out, which are FWD, but the 2 series Coupe is RWD.
Having said that the 1 & 2 series will all be going to FWD in the next generation to be released in a couple of years time.
"Horrible looking people carriers"?
I happen to really like my FWD BMW Active Tourer 220d. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder they say, and I'm sure the same applies to whatever you drive. After all, people bought the Allegro. And just for the record, it's not a "people carrier" any more than the coupe (mine seats 5 max). I find the Active Tourer spacious, practical, nippy, very economical, and will leave most cars on the road today in my rear mirror with little effort.:)0 -
You know what I meant. MPV then if that makes you happy. They're still the ugly sisters in terms of fitting in with the rest of the BMW family and they are dull in comparison when it comes to driving, and yes I have driven them, unfortunately."Horrible looking people carriers"?
