Car not selling

  • the words "neglected heap" spring to mind.

Advisory on an MOT, coil springs corroded and the following year it failed on broken coil springs.

Failed on silly stuff like the handbrake needing to be pulled all the way up and no travel left. Tyres worn below the legal limit etc.

Why would you take a car for an MOT with obvious fail points?

Serviced at 103k miles? Is that the only service its ever had?

Have those rusty brake pipes been fixed?

There were no advisories on the last mot.

Correct, which is why i asked about the rusty brake lines mentioned in several previous MOTs. Have they been replaced or was the MOT more lenient this time?

Not listed on this one, so have they been done?

  • You have a supermarket trolley in the background, and the grass looks unkept, plus there is bloke in the background of another. The interior photos have been taken vertically and would be better horizontal. From that I would get the impression that if the seller cannot be bothered to take good photos, they probably have not bothered looking after the car.

Thing is its a nice looking car, take the photos at a nice country location so any potential driver can imagine crusing it down a country lane.

Good idea - OP, you are advertising the car, act like an advertising agency and work with people's desires so they can envision its use.

The photos on the ad are (sorry) terrible.
