Not where do I find the info, but do they legally have to supply it?, or tell me I'm wrong? I'm sure you get the issues.
If you were in a war with Renault over a warranty issue would you stand there and say "some bloke on the internet said this was true,? so pay up"?
But if you got into a warranty arguement with Renault, how would you prove it had been serviced and maintained to their standards.
If you anticipating problems (and there will be with Renault) why not get them to service it while it's under warranty?0 -
Because I have a right to get my car serviced at any Vat registered garage rather than pay Main dealer prices.
The clue is in the title of this forum. I can find the info required, so can my local garage, just don't see why I should have to as they have applied warranty conditions but haven't told me what they are.
Imagine it if there was a claim, "you haven't had the car serviced to schedule"
"what schedule?"
All I'm thinking is that it would be in their best interest too to supply the necessary details to an owner. The service record in the handbook states nothing, not the scheduled mileage or type of service, these get filled in by the dealer.
And to the earlier poster, I have time to pester the dealer, I don't have money to waste being run down the gauntlet into Renault's service bay.
We have had 5 cars now over about 12 years that were around a year old and under Renaults warranty, none have been back to them other than for odd failed items that were outside the scope of routine service check anyway.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -

But you do have the money to change your car every two years.0 -

But it's easy to haggle down main dealers, get some quotes and then see if they'll price match them, they get pretty close in my experience.
It's also a lot easier with a warranty claim if one arises.0 -

What I wanted to hear Hong Kong Phoney was the answer to the original question, nothing more, not a dissection of my reasons for not wanting to go with Renault for service at any price.
Your 1st post was so far off the mark you need to dig very deep to get yourself out of the hole, stop digging is best advice.
Sometimes if you haven't a clue it's best to butt out.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Of course, if you inspect the documents before you hand over your cash, all this can be avoided. No service history, no purchase. And don't accept 'we'll post it on to you'.No free lunch, and no free laptop

If you'd bought new you'd realise it wasn't but good luck anyway.0 -

You have miss-read, this isn't service history, it's the specified service details that Renault(all manufacturers) base their warrant on.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

In addition we bought a new Kadjar this year, the details are the same you truly clueless ****
Bbest advice I have for you after the obvious is that if you don't have a clue to the question asked, keep your gob shut and be thought an idiot or open it and be proved one.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
