Glad for those who have 😁
we haven’t, because the paperwork didn’t make it to the vendors solicitor not sure why he didn’t see the urgency despite the fact the estate agent said that it needed to be in for exchange and completion to happen. Our solicitor is hopeful it will all happen tomorrow but has warned us if it hasn’t happened by 3pm tomorrow then it’ll have to wait till the Friday after as they have to return the mortgage funds.I have no idea the vendors said yes without checking all the paperwork was in! So another sleepless night for me 😫😫Just Keep Swimming

We exchanged!! But it was a close one, and it only happened because our seller bless his heart broke the chain so we could exchange, as his seller at the top is still messing around.
Turns out our seller is moving next door! And has already been able to move most of his stuff out, as he's on good terms with his seller/former neighbour.
I will be buying that man some wine!
Completion tomorrow!3 -

Completion tomorrow!I think what frustrates us most about ours is it’s no chain, it’s an empty house so you’d think the vendor would want rid as soon as possible but they don’t seem to be in rush. Tomorrow is exactly four months since we put the offer in.Just Keep Swimming

Thank you!
Honestly though, your situation is so bizarre, considering there is no chain, there's no group of people to line up and co operate with. Yet still they manage to drop the ball and make it complicated!
I really wish you all the luck in the world with yours tomorrow, and that they get their backsides in gear!1 -
Finally talking dates! 30 September is the earliest we can try for completion apparently. I've said that would work for me. Now got to wait for it to be agreed. Fingers crossed! I just went to view the house again today just a quick pre exchange check and to measure in the kitchen for white goods.
Whole chain has agreed completion 29th but I still haven’t had my contract to sign. I’m very much hoping that’s all that needs to happen before we exchange. I’m bottom of the chain coming from a rental and will have a good crossover as I haven’t given notice but everyone else needs removals.
My solicitors have been great all the way through but seem to have just gone incommunicado the last week right at the crucial time.1 -
EA just rang, my buyer is sorting his Buildings Insurance for this house and transferring his deposit over today, but she thinks Monday is looking more likely for Exchange.
Had hoped for the comfort of being under contract gong into the weekend, but she doesn't think there'l lbe any issues and still sees Compeltion happening on Tuesday.1 -
And a billy bonus of £2.5k for all of you too!
I think had we not pushed our vendor, we would have been moving in today too.
