MickeyFTB said:Hi everyone! Been a few weeks since I last posted but thought I best come on and give an update. After nearly 10 months we finally exchanged and completed on Friday and are now in our new home - finally!
We were originally meant to complete last year but after houses being added into the chain, 3 mortgage extensions and two failed exchanges we finally got there!
For anyone still hanging on like we were, you’ve just got to think how much do you want that house and go with your gut - we could have walked away so many times but I’m so glad we hung on because it feels so surreal to finally own it!
I hope all of your purchases go much smoother than ours and you have the keys soon.
Now to figure out what room to decorate first!
congrats!

The initial look of the contract for my Buyer, is it normal for my Sol to share with me first, or does he just get on with it in the background and liase with them?0

Having similar issues. Our mgmt company offered different levels of service depending on how quickly the mgmt info pack would be provided. We paid for the middle option (info pack within 5 working days) on 17 May but we're still waiting as of today, together with a response to any queries raised with them to date. All other aspects of our sale and purchase are pretty much there but expect this to drag on for a few weeks yet which is making me nervous.nekr0mantik said:Anyone else who bought leasehold recently had situation where management company solicitors still not answered all queries after 1 months? They been really slow took them 2 months to send management pack out and at first kept saying no one requested it! Now my solicitor raised queries against it 1 months ago.
Cannot wait to leave and never have to deal again with the issues that leaseholds bring!0 -

Having issues with my buyers solicitor and estate agent (for their property sale), basically they are not replying or returning any calls. The only information we are getting is from the buyers themselves - apparently they are still waiting for a local survey, which has been due to come in now any day for last 20 days. I am losing confidence in my buyer.
I have said to my solicitor today that if we don't hear anything by next Monday I want to issue a reply or lose the house letter.
Anyone else experienced this, any advice on what to do next?0 -
Just re-list if there is a lack of communication ,has their solicitor made contact with yours ?roast said:Having issues with my buyers solicitor and estate agent (for their property sale), basically they are not replying or returning any calls. Once or twice. Now nothing for weeks despite frequent requests for updates. The estate agents are not getting anywhere with them either. The only info is coming from the buyer, who seems to be the only one who can speak to the solicitor.babyblade41 said:

The buyer's solictors won't speak to the vendors and the vendor's solicitors wont speak to the buyers. Solicitors can speak to each other.
