We exchanged on our first house today and complete on the 18th (my 26th birthday). Going to Tenerife tomorrow for a week aswell! Exciting times!0

Thirty-two days after making our original offer, we had our offer accepted on the house we want to buy today :j
Cash purchase and we've already worked out what needs doing - another project, lol - so probably won't be getting a survey.
Even so, it's unlikely we'll get it tied in with our sale which is hopefully going to exchange before Christmas, but with completion on our sale predicted for the New Year, we may just manage it........Mortgage-free for fourteen years!

Well done to everyone exchanging & completing!
I’m still waiting to hear if we are exchanging & completing on Friday :eek: I’m going to sign everything this morning so I’m hoping to hear for definite as hubby needs the rest of the week off work if we are & if not he will need the week after off. Meh! Still waiting for approval of gifted deposit from lender then we can proceed to exchange! How long does it take man! I thought I was patient but given how close to Xmas it is I’m losing my composure lol.0

I've just given up any thoughts about dates now. Three of us in the chain are ready, and we're just waiting for the replacement first time buyer at the bottom. Of course they've got to go through the whole mortgage/survey/searches process themselves now to catch up with the rest of us, and with Christmas in the middle too. We'll be lucky if we're in by February now :eek:
We put our house on the market in early July and sold within a week and stupidly thought we'd easily be in for Christmas :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
