I'm preparing a DJP form where the deceased's name on the death certificate and the Title differ because of marriage. is it sufficient for Joe Public to fill in panel 8 or does the marriage certificate need to be supplied ? also what is eta for such applications from a member of the public? I see it's unlikely original documents will get returned. thank you @Land_Registry 🥰0

Don't send original documents for risk of them being lost on the post/destroyed
Wait times can be lengthy but once processing starts you will be contacted as the person submitting the application
If there's a need for speed then you don't usually have to update the register following a death before then selling for example - the death is sadly factual and can be proven as and when required such as a sale/purchase and the evidence submitted by the purchaser's conveyancer“Official Company Representative

Hi, another question on this please.
Back in March I was told there were 5 pending applications against title LT127365 for removal/cancellation of charges. These related to charges dated 11/7/2007, 30/4/2008, 14/12/2007 and 24/10/2008.
I have checked again today and all 9 charges are still in place. Could you tell me the status of the 5 applications and also if any more have been added recently.
Many thanks0 -
Hi - there are eight separate pending applications against that title and all are to cancel charges. The original 5 you refer to date from February and all are waiting to be processed.“Official Company Representative
