I'm preparing a DJP form where the deceased's name on the death certificate and the Title differ because of marriage. is it sufficient for Joe Public to fill in panel 8 or does the marriage certificate need to be supplied ? also what is eta for such applications from a member of the public? I see it's unlikely original documents will get returned. thank you @Land_Registry 🥰

It is sufficient for Joe Public to complete panel 8. If you wish to also include a certified copy of the marriage certificate then you may
Don't send original documents for risk of them being lost on the post/destroyed
Wait times can be lengthy but once processing starts you will be contacted as the person submitting the application
If there's a need for speed then you don't usually have to update the register following a death before then selling for example - the death is sadly factual and can be proven as and when required such as a sale/purchase and the evidence submitted by the purchaser's conveyancer

How do you get certified copies of any TP1 and AP1 forms lodged on a property title from Land Registry?
