Ok, so if you want to be 100% sure that it is unregistered then it's form SIM and a search of the index map you need for a guaranteed result

Lamby - it doesn't read like something that is 'simple' and as you suggest if there is an error and the deeds have been registered we can't just alter them

How long a reply takes will depend on the details provided and whether the paper files are required. If 2006 then I suspect they will be.
What's the title number involved please so I can see if I can find the enquiry?

No - the existance and impact of the Dec of T can be registered, usually as a form A restriction, but we don't register the Dec itself

Thank you for the quick reply. The title number that we've purchased is AV11xxxx, I don't know about the old house but we're less worried about that one!!

Many thanks - enquiry received 5th June. Paper files are needed to check what details we have to facilitate a reply. Hopefully that will be this week so we will have to hang on to see what that reply states

Thanks Land Registry. I had been given the impression that this enquiry had been raised some weeks before the 05/06, clearly something I will need to discuss further with my solicitor !
