If neither of you want Virgin surely the best thing is to do as iniltous said and cancel now with both of you paying £94 each instead of continuing this arrangement for another 9 months.
Get shot of Virgin and the ex and close the joint account.0 -
Although he may not want virgin, I'm sure he wants broadband, which is worth at least £30 a month, which he should pay
I bet he is using it!
But if you don't want to talk to him...0 -
Well, it looks like they are about to put their prices up again, if true that will be your way out...

I do hope this is true as I am moving to a new build estate soon and they have not bothered to cable the place up (even though it's in the same town and they serve everywhere else) - what are they going to do, wait a year or so then come along and mangle up the nice new pavements lol.
Never mind, BT are in with FTTP so that will have to do.0 -
After writing to them, I have now received a response which states they have listened to the call (again) and there was 'no clear indication of a new contract' mentioned to me so I can cancel with no ETC.
So whoever I spoke to last week blatantly lied to me when he said it was clearly stated on the phone call and I verbally agreed.Took 4 phone calls and a letter (a lot of stress and anxiety) to resolve this, I imagine many would have given up or paid, disgusting behavior from Virgin. I'll be taking it further.0
