Fair enough. I guess I was just a little extra jumpy because of the location issue and a higher than usual value item for me.

    Bloody hell. Just checked again....

    2:26 Delivery attempted
    5:42 Returned to depot
6:07 Held in depot for redelivery

    What is their issue!

Perhaps they work and weren't in at 2.26pm.

They can go on Parcel Force's website and put the tracking number in to rearrange delivery to themselves or a neighbour. You don't need a card or anything.

Yes. I haven't hear zip from the buyer since I messaged them saying the parcel had been returned to the depot.

Any idea how long ParcelForce will continue to keep it or re-deliver?

Maybe it's none of my problem. Buyer already paid and I held up my end by sending it out recorded delivery.

It is very much your problem. If it isn't delivered the buyer can claim INR. If it isn't delivered after 3 attempts then it will go back to the depot.

Are you sure you used Parcelforce because you mention 'recorded delivery'.

Even if the buyer has had every opportunity to collect it themselves or arrange a re-delivery?

Then what? It's lost forever in limbo?

    Sorry, I meant Tracked.

Yes, I used ParcelForce48 through eBay's own shipping app.

Yes. If it doesn't show as collected/delivered the buyer can open a claim and they will win it.

I don't know with PF. I use UPS and the parcels get attempted and eventually back to the depot for return to me (with a surcharge sometimes).

In that case if it gets attempted 3 times and you don't get it back you will have to take it up with eBay (Shutl I presume) as PF won't deal with you direct.

That's crazy. eBay are a law unto themselves!

    Thanks for the info.

Finally just got a message from the buyer stating they are 'on it' and that they don't have as much time as they like. It was in broken English but understandable. I'm just glad to hear anything at all from them. :rotfl:

Well they are, but it is UK (EU) law, not just eBay. If you put yourself in the buyer's position, would you be happy that the law lets the seller get away with an attempted delivery?

Hopefully it is all received and you don't get any further issues.
