Thanks Nan. Gratefully received. Coming down off the ceiling a bit now. Should have known really as he did the same with the last car. I have never driven it.
How do you do smilies etc please? Need a headbanging one. Lol.

Gintot underneath the message box are a few smilies and in brackets "more". Click on "more" and you will find quite a lot more smilies including one head banging a wall :wall:. Hope this helps.Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0

Mr tru has taken some holiday days, he's off til monday. I forgot about this and am now wondering how to get through the next four days without losing my mind, lol.We decided against a coffee table in the end as worried about doggie tails sweeping across
maybe thinking about a small side table that we could move next to sofa when needed....

Gintot Im wondering whether youre using the Post Quick Reply? You need to use the Advanced Reply for the smilies to show up I think, mind you I'm no expert:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0

Had a walk over Bodmin Moor this afternoon. Didn't mean to. Hubby was wearing his new brogues and me 2 inch heels....Never again.:D
My stomach is in knots. Youngest went for a check up on his hand this morning. He's got to have his hand pinned. I'm desperate to get home but hubby won't hear of it. He's having his holiday no matter what. Of course I'm worrying how Youngest is coping with one arm.
Good news. All went well at the hospital with my friend. Hospital doesn't want to see her for 3 months. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Did a massive load of washing this morning and was just about to hang it outside when the heavens opened! I ended up putting a few things in the tumble drier and the rest on hangers in the dri buddy.
Torrential rain on and off all day. Kitchen is tidied and I have been sorting out my wardrobe, moving tops and trousers that fit me now so they are on the left hand side and the items that are a size down moved more to the right hand side.
Still loads of bedding, towels and clean clothes to be sorted and put away and things that need to go out of my bedroom. I shoved things there out of sight and they are clutterering up the place
I made the mistake of wearing a new cotton top on Sunday as it was a hot day and two different dds on two different occasions asked if I was wearing a pyjama topGot so discomfited I hit the online sales and ordered four smarter tops and will need to make sure I don't always look as if I wear the same thing, maybe rotating order tops are in and wearing things in order rather than grabbing something that has just been washed and dried because it is quicker.
Managed to get to the hospital yesterday and have had an echocardiogram and an x ray on my knee and still managed to get back to volunteer at the library in the afternoon. Exhausted when I got back at 7p.m. though.
Judi
I am glad that your friend had some good news.
Mrs TA
I hope things went well at the hospital and the travelling was not too bad.

Hugs to you and dd and hope things improve.
Just had a phone call from youngest and she has got the job that she interviewed for yesterday :j:j:j:j Now she just has to find a nice flat to rent in Manchester. Strongly suggested she check crime figures etc on areas she is considering and can't wait for her to feel more settled.
Hugs to all."This site is addictive!"

I find they don't work on tablets or phones.
Elona - fantastic news for your DD, congratulations to her!
My day has been fine. The drive down began in rain and ended in sunshine. I collected an order from Wrose and took DM for her visit to a friend locally. There's only her house insurance to renew tomorrow, take her to the docs and then onto another older friend who is in a care home nearby.
My lovely cousin in Berlin sent my DM a parcel with some things in she had asked for. He also put in a packet of my favourite German sweets, Choco-Linsen. :j They're like large smarties with mint flavoured chocolate inside and are either pink or white. I'm finding it difficult to exert self control!
So my day has been quiet and sweet.
Judi - sorry to hear about your son's hand. I'm sure he'll find a way to manage so I hope you can relax a bit.0
