Bruce Weber's beautiful, soulful documentary on the drug-addicted jazz trumpeter Chet Baker collects together an impressive clutch of friends and family to talk about his con-man charm and general unreliability. Interspersed are Baker’s own musings on music and mortality and some great modern performances which Weber managed to capture just before the musician’s untimely demise in 1988.
