National Numeracy is an independent UK charity. We aim to help raise low levels of numeracy amongst adults and children and promote the importance of everyday maths skills.

At the moment, we're working with MSE on a project about financial capability. We're exploring ways to engage people in improving their numeracy and their money skills, and we're encouraging MSE users to get involved!

If you or anyone you know would like to improve your numeracy or money skills - or if you'd just like to know what level you're at - then the National Numeracy Challenge is a great place to start.

The Challenge is a confidential and informal website which helps you assess your numeracy, learn everyday maths, gain confidence, and work towards getting the Essentials of Numeracy - the everyday maths skills needed for life and work.

To take part, just register here for the National Numeracy Challenge and do let us know how you got on in the comments below.
