Not wholly in bay

To quote John McEnroe : There was chalk dust, the ball was in.
Being out of the bay, must surely mean beyond the white line. As far as I know, only the wheels count.0 -
my assumption would be that by parking on private land I've entered into a contract to abide by the rules displayed on signage.
True, but consumer contracts have to be fair, most PPC contracts are not. Also, they have to follow strict rules, and most do not.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
This is the problem that I, personally, have on here and I am sure some others do as well.
People who effectively prevent an adjacent space being used by not parking properly, as are able-bodied who nick disabled parking spaces or in any way potentially inconvenience others are a pain and, some might argue, deserve some censure.
But the PPCs, with their over the top charges and, in many cases, downright dishonesty, are more regular and greater villains.
I think that, in exchange for the excellent advice and help you will get on here, you need to make a silent promise to yourself to park conscientiously in future.
So, to your case, I take it that they have supplied photos and it is these that you are describing. Check the signage and also the length of the bay -v- length of your car. I have seen bays that are just too short.
Also, maybe a regular will give you the current form of this PPC doing court so you can make a risk assessment.0 -
I agree with the above. I hate parking plonkers, but I hate PPCs even more. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

Thirded, hate parking plonkers and dawdling drivers who haven't a clue about the road-users around them.
But PPCs are aggressive, greedy firms with no reason to exist - and that, I detest.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi all, bit of an update.
Had a response to the template letter, that said:
Reference: Parking Charge Notice.
Thank you for your email.
We are unable to process your appeal. The driver needs to appeal.
Yours Sincerely
Premier parking Logistics
So they didn't really answer the question about breaking a contract, but does this mean I can just say I don't know who the driver was?0 -
Typical PPL nonsense. Just ignore everything from now on except an actual LBA/LBC/LBCCC or real court papers. This is PPL's current court record:

Complain to the DVLA that your right to appeal is being frustrated.

They are starting to clamp down on this.0
