BT bill

My bt bill came to £14 this month with BB and free weekend calls. I have a deal at £18.99 line rental + £2.50 for BB for 12 months. I am not sure whether I need to add vat. According to my bill rental and bb is £25.49 with special deal. I have paid line rental 12 months in advance. My only bill is £7.50 for bt sports and bb CS told me I am being charged £6.50 for BB. Total £14. Does this seem right? Thanks

I think they should add that question to school exam papers lol

    Don't add vat

    £2.50 BB + £5? BT sport = £7.50

After 12 months I think you will be charged £6.50 for BB (bargin for BT!!)
  • But the bill is £14 rather than £7.50...

So it seems that there is a special deal of £25.49 for line rental and broadband, but the line rental has been paid up front, so taking away the £18.99 line rental charge, gives a broadband only charge of £6.50.

There there is an additional charge of £7.50 for BT Sport, taking total bill to £14.

    Seems reasonable to me.

If you make more than one hour of weekday calls per month (at 12p per minute plus 21p connection fee) to UK landline numbers starting 01 and 02, and non-geographic numbers starting 03 you will have spent more than it would have cost for the "unlimited anytime" deal (£8 per month).

No it does not add up my offer was line rental£18.99 and £2.50 for bb on special offer at executive level due to a complaint Making the total£21.49,BB bwas increased by £2 in April but I was not a bb customer until mid march. So the £2 increase should not have applied to me. I have emailed the person who dealt with my complaint for an explanation.
  • My bill has risen in July and after studying it, it seems to have been for my BT Essential TV, this was negotiated including a 2 yr package and was for £6 then a reduction of £2 monthly.
for some reason instead of it being for a full month as usual it was for 9-11th July. and had given me just a 0.19p reduction.

after a very long on-line chat with an agent, then TV Packaged Dpt, then Billing Team and being told my bill was £79.53 per month, it is usually £26.50, then apologised for being wrong!
Told me the difference of £1.81 would be credited to my next bill and it had been a mistake.

Got this months bill today and B.T. Essentials is still £6.00, so no reduction at all.
All I wanted to know was had BT Essential TV had a price rise that I was not aware of?

That took nearly an hour and I'm still non the wiser, and am certainly not going through the hell of the chat-line again.

Had to laugh though as when I looked at how to contact B.T., it recommended using the chat-line as it was quicker:mad:

User your BT members community forum is best .
  • Have you ever tried to post on there?
I hate it, it is the most disorganised forum ever.
I got a reply and tried to mark it solved, then tried to thank the person who answered.
Lost the will to live, and so gave up.
