*BARGAIN ALERT* Poundland Travel Bottles!

Here's something great I spotted today in Poundland. The do a set of 5 100ml clear plastic bottles. (Three with just a screw top, one with a pump dispenser and one with a spray nozzle).

What's so great about this you might think? Well, they're 100ml so if you're like me and only take hand luggage on holiday to avoid ridiculous airline baggage charges these are fine and the pack even comes in it's own resealable plastic bag.

Sun lotions are really expensive abroad even in major supermarkets so I'm planning to get a few Aldi bottles (£2.79 for 200ml SPF 30 and 50 for the spray type) and decant them into these.

There's four of us including the kids so I'll be able to take more than enough that would cost £10+ each in Sunny Spain!

Since when did Poundland and Aldi become overseas holiday destinations?

Does this board not promote money saving ideas for whilst you are away apart from the cost of the holiday itself?

    Apologies if not.

No - as clearly started in the read before posting sticky:
This board is literally just for reporting (as the title says) Holiday Deals, Holiday Bargains and any Special Offers on holidays, only!

The main Overseas Forum covers the more general/ancillary aspects and would be the better place to post this.

and if you're flying out of MAN they'll be no good unless they have the measurement of what the container holds printed on them.
    This ^^^^ is shocking....but true!

    From MAN airport website:
Please note - if you wish to bring your own containers to hold 100ml or less, the container must have printed on it the measurement that the container can hold. Travel sets of containers that do not have measurements on them will not be allowed through security. Handwritten measurements or stickers are also not acceptable.
    http://www.manchesterairport.co.uk/guides-to-travelling/security/security-rules/

Having said that, I have been through MAN security with containers that are not labelled but they clearly hold less than 100ml e.g. small pots for face cream contain 5ml or 7ml.
If I were challenged, maybe I'd get away with it, maybe not.
I wouldn't argue the toss, nothing I take is that important.

Re the original topic, it's even cheaper to reuse your own small containers.
I've been doing this for years.
Given that we fly from MAN regularly, I've started leaving the labels on so there is a measurement.
