    Evening :wave:

    My reports are finished:j:j. I need to proof read them but the actual writing of them is done :). I've had a good day at work and only 19 working days until the summer holidays:p

    Yesterday proved to be a nsd, was fairly productive and I managed my charity 10k despite the heat (love warm weather but loathe running in it!). Other than that it was just a few jobs and a bit of recovery time:D

    Today's small steps to success included;

    Met with pensions IFA and have a up to date picture of what's where and are now looking at the figures for various scenarios from age 55 to 60. Feels good to be getting this sorted.
    nsd
    £53.87 of eBay sales paid and transferred to os pot:)wave

    EBay parcels wrapped and labelled

    Hm steak pie for dinner (made extra for lunch boxes and mini ones to have as nibbles on DS's prom night)and freezer lo for lunch

    Marinated meatball mix for tomorrow and got tomato and basil sauce out of the freezer

    Drank enough water

    Laundry done and on the line

    Happy Monday to you :)

    Hello PP, my word, you've been going through a lot - as people have said above, when you basically have your life in balance, it makes it more do-able. Hope you're okay, and we're nearly at the end of the month :)

    Yey you're back:j:j. How was Norway? Fabulous I hope:D

    Things haven't always been great Karma but I'm definitely out the other side:D. I'd rather it hadn't been so but it does make you appreciate all that is good and I find I am surrounded by lots of good stuff, particularly when I take moment or two to look:D:

    It really was - and it was much more multinational than I thought it would be. Some of our local guides were Spanish and German, studying there (in English!!!) and obviously really loved the country. And Scottish and English links are still very strong in Norway :heart2:

    Glad to hear you're out the other side. And at the bad times, its all the more important to step back and look, appreciating whatever positives you can find, isn't it.

    Hi PP

    I've just read some of your diary and can't believe how much you achieve in 24 hours compared with me. I have a tendency to waste some of my free time, which I absolutely hate. Life is short and, here I am, not always making the most of it.

    You've inspired me to get a grip and come up with a plan! It's important to have "me" time but I need to get stuff done too so there needs to be a balance in my Country Cabin.

    Thanks :-)
    Mortgage Balance: £162,615.84 (December 2022); £163,945 (November 2022)
    Current MF date: Feb 2032.  (Previously: Jan 2033)

    Target MF date: May 2027
    (Overpayments needed to achieve this: £1,750pm!)

    Joint spend: £391.09 (Nov)
  • Well done on the report writing pinky!! :T not long now till holidays nearly there!!

    Glad you had a good chat with your sis , it's hard to open up some times but can really be worth it I've found ( I'm not always the best at doing it either!). Afternoon tea sounds yummy ! One of my fave ways to spend an afternoon in fact! ;)

    Definitely also need to take a leaf out of your book in terms of upping my productivity/siezing the day! .....last morning this morning (albeit needed!) But means less hours to get things ready done!

    Have a lovely sunny Sunday :cool:

    Hello IAAM nice to 'meet' you :). Hiya Ella :wave:

    Not achieving much at the moment - it feels like the world's on double speed :eek: Work has gone loopy and dad's having a really difficult spell and is needing a lot of extra help. I need an eight day week :rotfl:

    In amongst the crazy I have managed some small successes including;

    All meals made at home despite the temptation of convenience when knackered and pushed for time:p

    Have managed a spin class a week and a couple of runs but looking forward to getting my routine back.

    House is tidy, beds are changed and laundry is up to date

    This weekend I've got dad to care for but will have a chunk of time to myself on Saturday so I must;

    Meal plan and prep for next week

    Repot basil before it dies :eek:

    Food shop

    June totals

    July targets

    I'd also like to;

    Tidy the garden

    Get to the bank

    Bake

    Post more often :o

    10 working days until my holibobs:j. Can't wait :)

    Morning :wave:

    I was awake early so I thought I'd start the day on a positive note by knocking something off my list:p

    June's totals were ;

    Spends

    Grocery £124.57/£128:j

    Personal spends £46.55/£46. Almost!

    Fuel £138.08/£140:j

    Saves

    AVC £880/£880 This is net so £1100 into my pension pot :)

    OS benefit £95.93

    OS Savings £1131.43/£430 :j

    Capital Reduction £2157.92/£1250 :j

    Mortgage neutral balance £83,409.67 :j

    This means I'm on track for my new goal of being sub £80k by the end of August, a year on from my first OP :). £3.5 k in two months is going to need focus though as it includes a holiday abroad:eek:

    I'm off to plan a thrifty July (even though it's already started :o) whilst enjoying a coffee in bed:)

    Happy, sunny Saturday to you :):)
