  • Sounds like a very productive day. Pleased you've got some positive things to consider regarding retirement. It's the next thing on my list to sort. But,

    It's not a frog, it's an elephant, and you know how you eat one - yup, a bit at a time :T.
    A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

    Evening :wave:

    It's nearly Friday:j. This will be doubly welcome as it's also pay day :j:j. On money matters I've done a £1.07 tt and as it was rent day I paid my cb cc in full and I'll transfer what's left plus the money that's left in my current account to my os pot tomorrow when my new month begins.

    Work was uneventful and flew by which is always nice. I got my marking done and managed to get an early finish :D
    Tomorrow I need to go through my April spends ready for my final totals on Monday:j. I am so sad, it's the highlight of my month :rotfl:

    Other mfw and well being successes included;

    Drank 2 litres of water

    Spin class done

    Helped ds with some organising of revision and wrote a to do list for the weekend so he doesn't have to stress about it now.

    Watched ds get his award at prize giving :):):):) very proud of him :D

    lo for lunch and 20p ys tuna steaks with Mediterranean pasta for dinner

    Shined my sink :)

    Going to enjoy my hot chocolate in bed while I read a couple of chapters of my book. A lovely end to the day :)

    Happy Thursday :):)

    PP xx

    Wish I'd started chomping a bit sooner :rotfl:

  • End of the month/beginning of the month money shuffles are my idea of fun. I love it. I was so excited to be paid today, not because it meant I had money - we're still in April, budget pots have 4 more days to squeak through, but because it meant I could allocate every penny a job.
    I won't do my round ups until Monday, but I do know I would like to magic £70 from somewhere this weekend.

    Love that phrase, and the images that it creates!

    Morning :wave:

    I'm having my Saturday morning indulgence of coffee in bed - love it :D. I missed posting yesterday which I don't like as my little diary keeps me motivated and accountable which are key if my journey is going to be happy and successful. That said I was soooo tired that when I picked ds up from his friend's I went straight to bed. Feel much better this morning:)

    I had a nsd yesterday and did my money shuffles. I've just got a small cheque to pay in and then I'm done for April. As I've got shiny new budgets (and some expensive repairs imminent) I'm going to try and avoid touching them for as long as possible. I haven't done this week's grocery shop and I don't think I need to just yet so I'm going to rejig my meal plan and see how far I get. If I can push each weekly shop back by a few days then I'd only need to do three a month and not four :j. I'll give it a whirl and see how I go :)

    Today's to dos are;

    Finalise April spends
    Go for a run
    Pay cheque into the bank
    Fill green bin with (hopefully) the last of the branches and tidy the garden a bit
    Clean the car
    Filing
    Sort out summer clothes and photo any unwanteds for eBay
    Help ds with revision bits

    Happy Saturday :)

    Morning PP, I've been money shuffling today too :j Sadly I get paid in the middle of the month so have already done my allocations for May! Well, it's not sad really as I get to allocate in the middle, then go through at the end and tidy up too :D

    Have a good saturday! Coffee in bed sounds excellent :j
