Just what I see on the streets every day.
Any reason the location of this cyclists paradise is being kept secret by you?I have mentioned before a wanabee organ donor I pass in the mornings who instead of riding down a perfectly designed £2.5 million cyclepath requested by Sustrans and designed by them, instead takes a longer route down a busy A road (and doesn't bother with high viz either).0 -

I know cyclists have poor vision with how they treat red lights, but I didn't realise it was that bad.
On a 45 minute drive today i witnessed the followed.
a few cars cars not stop at the stop sign at a junction and instead just treat it like a give way
a few cars going through red lights
a lot of cars going through amber lights by flooring it.
That's not mentioning the 100+ speeding, dozens parked illegally on double yellow lines etc.

He's like Candyman. If you say cyclist a few times he appears and starts moaning.0 -

So you decided to drive.
At least the pedestrians were safe from you cycling into them today.0 -
I had an incident on a country lane last summer. I was out on my mountain bike and there were four lads (late teens) walking towards me taking up the whole width of the lane.
I kept to the left and it soon became apparent that we had a game of chicken on our hands. The way I dealt with it was to just speed up and the lad who was on the very left decided to get out of the way at the last second, as I passed I made sure I made contact with him.
I'm very polite and will always say thank you to walkers etc but if somebody wants to mess me around then I won't stand for it0 -

According to Altar it's you that's being selfish, not the pedestrians in that scenario.
As long as you're on a bike and not walking or in a car. He drives and walks sometimes so he's incapable of associating any bad behavior with a group he belongs to.
Sadly even if you have lanes for cyclists only, pedestrians still want to walk in them

So you admit deliberately cycling into someone. And you deliberately increased your speed before you hit them.
And cyclists wonder why they have a bad reputation?Retrogamer wrote: »Sadly even if you have lanes for cyclists only, pedestrians still want to walk in them

If you think that cyclist is behaving sensibly you are an idiot.0 -

You've a cheek to call anyone an idiot :rotfl:
I don't think he's behaving "sensibly"
Merely pointing out that even with a cycle only lane, on a shared pathway, dozens of pedestrians constantly don't adhere to the signage and put themself at risk of injury.
It's interesting you made no comment on that. Most people don't and focus on the cyclist's behavior instead because most people are frequent pedestrians but few are frequent cyclists.
Again, your bias is glaringly obvious as you'll target any mode of transport that you don't frequently use.All your base are belong to us.0
