Tax Credits new claim

Hi, a bit of different situation but I would like advice please.

My Husband and I have split up but neither of us can afford to move out of our house (mortgaged), so we are just living separately basically in the house. I'm on maternity leave, due to go back to work in October, so my income at the moment is only statutory maternity leave. I've been told by a friend I would be entitled to claim tax credits, so I have received a form but I'm unsure how it will work with my husband and I still living at the same address.

We cant sell the house at the moment as its got negative equity and neither of us have much in the way of savings.

Will it be a problem with us living in the same house?

Also on the form it asks about childcare, I don't currently pay childcare but I will be once at work, so would I have to make another application then? My salary will roughly be £1200per month but the childcare is around £850 per month, so I cant afford all of that on my salary alone.

Any advice is appreciated!
