I visited the site this afternoon to take some photos of the signage. The relevant one was actually facing outside a short distance away from the entrance/exit but the camera wasn't charged up but I still looked around but could find no details of who the land owner might be as the signs (unless I missed one) simply refer to Private Land.
Anyway thank you Quentin and Redx. Question now Redx is how to send this IPC template as they say postal or email appeals not accepted?! I'm also not sure what an LBC (other than a London radio station lol) or IAS is. Is there a page somewhere with them on? I'm learning a few of them now but ...0 -
acronyms have explanations in the NEWBIES sticky thread
the IAS is also mentioned in there, as is almost everything you need to know, so I suggest you dont skim read it but actually read the first 5 or 6 posts , several times (please)
its also mentioned on the IPC website (did you go there ?)
LBC used to be LBA , and PE call it an LBCCC just to confuse people even more
appeal using whatever method it tells you on any paperwork, or on their website (so again , reading is the way to go , study everything carefully)
always check the IPC website for IPC members , and the BPA website for BPA members , if in doubt , check both (and both of their CoP too)
dont expect to learn this topic in a few hours , we have YEARS of dealing with these so have built up the knowledge needed , same as you have done from being a learner driver to an experienced driver , it didnt all come true in the first 5 driving lessons !!0 -
Great advice which is much appreciated Redx. Yes I intend to read more of the Newbies sticky very soon and shall do as you suggest . No I've not been to the IPC website so I'll do that soon too. The NTK says Excel is acredited to IPC so I'll go check that out too. I'll see if I can find out who the landowners are (it's a big car park so someone should know! DSS and JC+ are both based on the side of it!
) and I appreciate all this stuff takes time to learn and study. Problem is I have landlord problems heading my way - thankfully hasn't happened yet but I'm waiting for it) then life is REALLY going to get stressful and busy but apologies that has nothing to do with this really. I can understand totally why some people just want to pay it and get it out of the way - not that I intend to but it does make you wonder.
As I've now received the NTK can I assume it's ok now to use the ref number/date from the myparkingcharge 'thing' to view their so-called evidence or should I still avoid that? Just thinking it would be good to see the photos before appealing but if necessary could get a friend to view/copy them if the answer is no.
Thank you again Redx.0 -
Yes you can safely view it. Doesn't suggest a keeper is a driver (but Excel would pretend it does but so what, they live in the la-la land of ex-clamper thugs in PPC World!).
Excel are IPC members and are ALL OVER this forum in hundreds of threads, well known.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD0 -
Well I've viewed them and saved some. The vehicle does seem to have not been parked at its best but not exorbitantly so. If the fine/charge were more reasonable and fitted the crime, it would probably have simply been paid by now.
Maybe Excel need some advice how to get out of some car parking fines they got whilst milking other members of the public going about their normal day to day duties?0
