Talkmobile 4G
Has anyone else with a Talkmobile contract noticed they are now connecting to 4G out of the blue?
Maybe something to do with their demise but I have a contract with them for another year so not going to complain if I'm getting access to Vodafone's 4G network.

Did get the following SMS from Talkmobile on 13th:
"Great news! We're teaming up with Vodafone to bring you superfast 4G. Stay tuned for more exciting updates."
Not heard anything since.
Just checked also getting 4G, but speeds variable, contract SIM:
6 Mbps - 13.1 Mbps Download
4.4 Mbps - 16.40 Mbps Upload
3G results:
3.2 Mbps - 4.2 Mbps Download
1.92 Mbps - 2 Mbps Upload
My minimum term ends in a months time was thinking of moving but might stay for now.0 -
I did not get that text, but I guess that explains it.
My speeds on Talkmobile have always been fantastic though, I've got over 25Mbps on H+.
I did check today but it does use a lot of my limited data allowance.
39.7 Mbps down
25.6 Mbps up
Honestly though, the extra coverage will please me more than the speed. Can't complain really given that I didn't expect ever to be getting 4G. Just a shame the company won't be around much longer.
Have to say as well I've had so many positive experiences with their customer service as well, they activated roaming for me over live chat when I was in Canada in a matter of minutes. Sad they are going.0 -

Three have much speedier 3G (I've had the high 30s on my old phone).
You'll find Voda 3G relatively fast as most phones will using Voda 4G network for data. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
