Gers, I too like the thigh meat and quite often find the fillets reduced in the SM. If not I buy a big pack and then bone them before freezing - it's a bit fiddly but worth it, DH hates chicken bones.

I'm off to DD's to take her to pick up the new puppy, Ziggy fo the day. Apparently the breeder likes them to go for a home visit so she will be going back until tomorrow. It seems like a lot of nonsense to me, but what do I know - I've only lived with dogs and puppies for over 50 years. I'm excited to see her though and will have some of the pleasures of owning a dog without any hassle, win, win.

    Morning All

I'm home! Flight was delayed yesterday but wasnt too bad. Had a quick shower and went to a friends for drinks and nibbles (I was really hungry and too tight to pay 8 euros for a little sandwich at the airport!). Anyway, had a great catch up with good friends and had a few drinks.

I must switch the fridge on and then do some shopping, there's no food in at all. WM doing its thing but it will have to be dried inside as it's a bit wet out today.

Hope Mr TA is recovering well and you have a good holiday nmlc.

Have a good Friday, take care. XX

Morning all. Not perked through cutains yet but it's not raining and might even be bright.
I've got an overdue job to do but o think it's been extended.. ...i HOPE it's been extended. If not I shall do it today but could really do without it as I already have lots to do.
Lunch will be rolls and sausage, dinner will be at work as I agreed to a shift swap.
Will take cocopups out for his walk shortly and I really MUST SEW!! otherwise there is no point in me going to the craft fair tomorrow. Im trying to get my head round a new peg bag design. I know what I want to do but it got too late last night for me to concentrate.

Hope you all have a good day xx

    Morning everyone,

Bright but cool and breezy here so WM is on as the weekend is meant to be wet.

Will need to whizz round with the hoover to clear up the never ending supply of dog hair then hopefully get out in the garden to death head and do a general tidy, other than that the time is my own so loads of reading to be done.
Tea with be baked butternut squash, stuffed with goats cheese, one of my veggie favourites and good as the weekend meals are a bit meat heavy.
Hugs to those in need, be a good boy Scampi, have a good day folks x
  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

Bright but very windy, so any rain from yesterday will have already dried up before it got a chance to do any good.

Friday clean to do, I must wash the kitchen floor, its not been done for at least 2 weeks........

I have finished large bag making........on to zip bags now and then stuffed Christmas trees from scrap fabric.

    Fish, chips and peas tonight.

    Morning all,

    Happy Friday.

Had an early meeting this morning and got the sale. BOOM! Unfortunately that doesn't mean I put the feet up and I'm working tomorrow. The bright side means I won't spend.

Made myself some ketogenic cookies last night to try and satisfy my sweet tooth. Ate too many of them, they were meant to last a few days.

Couple of non-alcoholic drinks tonight with the boys from work. I've got the car so I'm sensible for a change.

    Dumpling - Well done!!
Judi - A very strange dream haha.
Tru - Sending you hugs. I can understand your frustration.
Camelot - Glad to have you back

Morning all. Drizzly here with heavy rain forecast for later.

Went out for a meal with friends last night. We had a good time and they came back to ours for a bit. Feel a bit tired this morning as DH and I sat up having a little drink and relaxing after they went.

OH will pick up DGS from nursery at 12.00 and bring him back for lunch. No Friday trip to the park today. DH will drop him home about 3.15. Just have to look after him Tuesday while DD is on a course and then we get a bit of a break through August except that DD has a couple of hospital appointments.

Best wishes for the TA's, woohoo to HH for last day of term, hugs to all poorlies and have a good Friday all.

I dont know whats stranger, the fact i am already married or me on an assault course. Extreme exertion is not my 'thing' ok, exertion in any form is not my 'thing'. Whats more, the great outdoors isnt my 'thing' either.

Wonders will never cease! I go into Youngests bedroom this morning to chuck his clothes on his bed (i usually hang them in his wardrobe) to find his room clean and tidy. No hint of a stray shoe anywhere and all his laundry taken downstairs for me to wash. Yay, he does listen to me at times!

Tru I had a right headache last night through 'Cif's constant barking yesterday. Open the blinds she barks, open the door she barks, sees a shadow in the side window she barks. I felt so on edge. She seems a lot more settled today. 'Blackun' well she sleeps the clock round bless her.

Decided to take hubbys bar of soap out of bed yesterday without his knowledge. Back to him walking round the bed as soon as his head hit the pillow. It cant be a coincidence can it?

Good morning everyone, thanks to nmlc for starting the thread and hugs to anyone that needs one.

I'm hoping to do something I've not managed in over a year today......go to the library!!! I'm missing reading real books and can't afford to feed my reading habit constantly buying them (I've been using Kindle Unlimited instead). My son is going to take me and if I time taking some dizzy meds carefully I should manage with his assistance so fingers crossed , he's up often enough the returning/renewing shouldn't be a problem. It's such a wee thing to be able to do but another step towards resuming some "normal" activites in my life.

I hope everyone has a good day x
