I don't remember strikes when I was a kid (20+ years ago but who's counting!). This wouldn't happen in the USA!

I actually feel quite refreshed reading all of your posts. I thought I was the only person who got excited waiting for the postie every day and thought I must be sad, but actually I feel normal now!!! So how are we all going to get through the post strike?!

My postie's a bit rubbish at the moment anyway.
Our regular post lady retired, and she was fantastic, always the same time, everyday.
Now we don't know when they are coming.
The other day I got home from work and there was post in the door at 10pm:eek: (I think hubby had missed it during the day but it had definately come after 3pm!)

Any sound outside and I'm twitching the curtains:rotfl:

I feel like someone cut off a limb though, especially as I was waiting for a swim suit for going away this weekend, I suspect the Hilton will not understand sorry I'm naked but the postman went on strike so my cossy never turned up

even worse I'm waiting on paperwork I need to be able to start work next week, I bet the post office won't be paying my wages to make up for me having to start late. blooming strike not a happy bunny.

I've gone from dreading my postie (bringing bills), to loving my Postie (bringing my comp wins).

Don't worry guys, just think of all the surprises we might get on Thursday :D

Says who? I remember where we lived the nurses at one of the biggest hospitals in the area went on strike on and off for ages... caused major disruption and mayhem. And once delivery drivers went on strike, another time it was supermarket workers.
