    Im going to pay it.

Writing a defence is completely above my head and I dont want a CCJ to dog me for the next 6 years.

    Thanks for all your input.

    Don't do that!

A ccj doesn't impact you at all! (If you were to end up losing in court then as long as you pay in full within a month then your record is clear!)

You dont get a CCJ if you pay after losing in court.. assuming you lose at all!

undersodd but I dont have a robust defence.
  • I'm not sure you know that. Have you received evidence of UK CPM Ltds entitlement to even issue tickets on the land. If they can't prove it, you've already won....

The ppc don't have a robust case either. Gladstones have been known to make such a mess of things that a claim has been thrown out without anybody uttering a word.

Their particulars of claim are often so poor the judge doesn't have a clue what they are claiming for so even a weak defence wins.

This isn't always the case so do as good a job as you can.

If you really can't face it try negotiation. Court costs the ppc. People have been known to haggle down the cost of settlement.

I see no mileage in just coughing up a significant wedge of cash without even the tiniest bit of fight.
