:j Had another bonfire, had another bonfire!!!

Gloriously warm and blustery day here, headed to the allotment after work and managed to catch up with all the drying weeds and have a bonfire. I now have a huge pile of pulled out pumpkin and squash vines, some of which were 15 ft long.

When the area of the bonfire has cooled, these will be spread out to dessicate and then burned at a later stage.

The big rag bag has gone to the charity shop and the four turquoise pumpkins (The Fab Four ) are now nestling in carboard Liddly Deluxe bones on the shelving in the bike shed.

:o Y'know, they've been in the sitting-room since last Sunday, I kinda miss the funny little guys............:rotfl:

loverly sleep last night, yay. Its the zero gravity chair, takes the strain off the hip muscles and they can relax. Lafuma garden chairs do similar, I would recommend bringing one indoors, blanket on top, for sheer bliss

Last tip trip later and I need to stop at friendly garage because I saw a screw in a tyre, luckily I have a spare wheel in the boot. Kondoed two largish items last night, transferred to a new owner in exchange for cash, these were key to my new inviting craft room. Moving the filing cabinet, which was in a row with the large desk has also been key, makes that window wall lighter somehow, less strict and oppressive

I`ll be using the vibro plate daily now. must hunt to see which `exercise` is best for core strengthening as core is key. Only 3 minutes needed, amazing

Doing my utmost best to avoid shopping today, will be working at freezer stuff and also making a list of protein foods for breakfast, protein first two meals is key for hair growth and is all too easy to grab cereal or toast on their own

Definitely no KM today. Hall area is done, crafty room is done, utility is done, stage 1 is done in there, I need to use stuff. Book reading today and audible. knitting, middlemarch, ooh it is getting a bit `exciting` Ludgate has confessed to living above his means. 1831 and so very wordy but strangely soothing and easy to listen to. A million miles away from world problems

:) I shall eat them, but I am a single person household and they are many, so they will need to be stored for a few months before I can chomp my way through them all.

Been up since 5 am (and awake long before that) and am pootling around doing whatever I can do which is quiet (I live in a flat and have neighbours on all sides, so need to be considerate).

Got the ironing done and some reading and tea-drinking, will have a good cooked breakfast of an omelette with the last teeny-tiny courgettes which formed on the vines I pulled up yesterday. Diddly little things no bigger than my thumb. One thing I note about my own experience as a gardener is that when you've grown it, you're very unlikely to waste any foodstuff.

:o Guys, I didn't mention it, but I will be spending two nights and one day at the parental homestead. A tip run will be involved. Didn't want to raise your expectations as it isn't much time to declutter, but I shall do my best. If there's any funny news to share, you'll be among the first to know............ :rotfl:

I have a CS story to share, I think you will appreciate.

During the 90th birthday party yesterday afternoon talk turned to walking aids. One guest expressed a desire to buy one, those 3-wheeled walkers with a little pouch for shopping etc.. Another guest said she had just seen the very thing outside a nearby charity shop, with a price tag that seemed acceptable. Well, as I was the youngest guest (by about 30 years!) I was nominated to run along and check it out with a view to grabbing a bargain.
I am sure you are ahead of me here........
Yep, I saw the item as described but a quick glance revealed that there was a scarf in the shopping pouch and the 'price label' was infact someone's name and address!
I did double check with the assistant in the CS, who confirmed the item belonged to a customer who was still shopping!

I returned to the party but put on a mock 'hurt and upset' face and pointed out how cruel they all were sending me, the apprentice, on this fool's errand. I told them it was akin to sending me for a long stand, some elbow grease or some rainbow paint. We all had a good laugh :rotfl:
I have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.

Good morning everyone I have just caught up with the last two or three pages having paused for breath. Last night was my first without my middle sister in the double bed for over a week and boy did I sleep better (no offence sis).
I have chuckled imagining GQ’s four pumpkins, Kittie on a vibrio plate?, Slinky’s handbags - I have only two like you - MMF007 potentially on Police, Camera, Action constantly approaching a junction like Groundhog Day and bumblebeany and rags! It’s been a surreal five weeks and this bizarrely has been a comfort. Thank you all.
Sadly, my lovely Dad died last Sunday at an amazing hospice in St Asaph, North Wales. He waited for me and my two sisters to take my mum to the dining room for some tea before he finally slipped away. When we returned to the room he’d taken his final breath. The hospice staff say they see it so often.
He was so tiny at the end that the funeral director advised us not to worry about finding clothes for him. Cancer had devastated his body and brain.
This week has been a whirlwind as I’m sure some of you will sadly know from personal experience and we’ve still to go through the funeral mass, the cremation and Dad’s ‘splash’ as we’re calling his wake.
I’ve finally woken up to why KM can help us live our lives to the full :( and when I get back to Norfolk I will be picking up and carrying on with that. I can’t begin to imagine how much worse it will be sorting things out when my Mum passes if we don’t get a grip on stuff now!
So keep, experience and do only that which sparks joy all for I have surely learnt you CANNOT take it with you. Love to all for making me smile xxx

So sorry for your loss Charly, such a difficult time for you all.

I have loads of handbags, just don't use them! I really must have a sort through and donate them, some I have to ask DD about as she left them here when she moved out. I tend to buy a bag for an occasion but they are never practical enough for everyday use.

Never mind MMF, at least you gave everyone a laugh!

Can't wait for your visit to the parental home GQ, keep us informed!

So sorry Charly ((((0)))). My grandad did exactly the same. He seemed to wait until his son went to grab something to eat.
