Waving lovely friends
OH and I have escaped to our favourite place on the East Coast.Currently awaiting a late lunch to arrive - trying to give OH a chef break
Its so fab that I woke up to the sound of the sea -certainly my happy place
Have managed to do some assignment work this morning abs need to go back after we have a blow of air along the prom.Noting Mon went alright - although I was shattered when I got home after a detour to pick up my favourite hat from a pub I left it in last week ( meeting a friend while away )
Yesterday was up early - packed and on the road - we stopped for a lovely foodie lunch with a fish platter - noting it was so good to have a “lunch date” together and make time for ourselves.I am continuing my mindful spending in that like - going to settle lunch bill and discuss undercooked chips !As a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or

Update MSE - politely fed back beautiful fish under cooked chips feedback - I asked the question if you were in my position would you want to pay £15 for it? They fed back it was a new trainee chef. And they took the whole of the cost of the meal of our meal 👍As a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or

Morning all
Well yesterday was in-laws day - they live about an hour from where we are so easier to see us here.
It’s not that easy a relationship - I have to work at it all day but it went ok - that is until my OH started turning 🤢 before they left.
Dodgy moules we think at lunchtime as after they left he went from 🤢 to 🤮 fortunately not in the pub where we had gone for a cheeky pint.So I spent the evening on my own and retired to the second bedroom at 9 - have to say I have got the best nights sleep 😉
