Bott & Co compensation

I was on a cancelled flight from New York to Manchester in June, was due to leave at 10.00pm on a Wednesday, departed at 4.51pm on the Thursday. I put a claim in with Bott & Co and have received an email saying my claim was successful and I am due to receive £344.30 not sure if they is before or after their proportion, does this sound right? I think I was expecting more if successful due to it being a long haul flight !?
Thanks for any help

that sounds right for what is remaining after their fees. The claim would be for €600/c£530 then you have to take off their % and fixed fees

I assume this must have been a Virgin or Thomas Cook flight since all the other airlines flying that route are US based and wouldn't be paying you a penny. The amount due should be 600 Euros, around £530 at today's rates so the amount quoted must be the net amount you will be getting after deduction of their fees. You need to check the contract, £200 seems a very high figure for fees

Sounds right to me - decent NWNF lawyers will cost about 1/3 of the award. Should have done it yourself and saved some money.
  • The ambulance chasers are rip off merchants. Why didn't you just submit a claim direct to the airline?

That amount seems about right. Bott take 25% plus VAT, plus £25 per person admin fee.
