Happy belated birthday, Fortune! Hope you had a lovely day.
How nice you are enjoying your walks, we have a few nuthatches living in the trees on the bank of the stream behind our house, they visit the bird feeders every morning and are lovely to watch.xNew Mortgage: £240 999 7/2/20 £ 205 000 Aug 23 Currently: £193 313 Jan 2025

Creative
Thanks guys. It was a quiet, relaxing day - lots of sitting in the sunshine and doing creative stuff. I've made good progress with my mirror frame project and am pleased with how it's turning out. I'll try and put up a photo later.
We had leftover crumble instead of cake at coffee break. I warmed it up in the oven and that seemed to burn off a bit more of the alcohol because it was definitely less boozy, and nicer, second time around. Lunch was leftover Hash Browns with beans and supper was Sausage & Gnocchi Bake made with purple sprouting broccoli. Today we had Mushroom Stroganoff for lunch and Sticky Sausage and Parsnip Traybake for supper
T£sco and Riv£rford have made their deliveries. A few substitutions but all sensible. Still no tinned tomatoes, pasta, toilet rolls, tissues or kidney beans though. I'm not sure how much longer I'll be able to get a T£sco deivery. There are no slots available for weeks. I booked as far forward as I could when we went into self-isolation but those dates will come to an end at some point.
The sunshine has been wonderful. I've got lots of washing dry on the line and we've eaten lunch outside every day. It's turning colder now though - just in time for the weekendWe were planning to do some gardening but will have to see what the weather does. Mr F has put my new cold frame together so I'm hoping to at least put that to good use.
Trying to keep positive but I'm finding the situation more terrifying by the day. All we can do here is sit tight and take sensible precautions... and count our blessings. I'm grateful that:- we are safe and well at the moment,
- I have deliveries booked for the next few weeks
- we are able to eat healthily.
Thanks again everyone for the birthday wishes - they really are appreciated.
Fortune x

Mirror, Mirror
Here's a photo of the detail on the mirror I'm upcycling. I've decided to stick to octopusses and tentacles.
