Thank you CBS. I'm a bit pants about posting these days - I think I need to set a regular time slot in my day to post and make it a habit.

I am harvesting about a kilo of raspberries a day at the moment. Mr F is eating them as fast as he can (he loves raspberries) but I've resorted to freezing them as I can't keep up! We have guests arriving at the annex today so I will leave them a bowl as a little extra treat. A raspberry and lemon cake is on the cards too. We also have pink currants which need harvesting so I think I will try making gin with those.
Builder man didn't manage to get here this week so he is coming on Monday with his digger to start the drive. It's not too dry at the moment so hopefully the dust will be minimal.
Spending this week was mainly on drink and gambling :rotfl: A couple of bottles of gin for making the fruit gins (these double up as Christmas presents for the neighbours). Plus our usual monthly charity donation to the N@ti0n@l L0tt£ry
I must start a painting today. My WI have asked me to do one for the town show again this year and time is ticking on.
There is a food and drink festival in town tomorrow so we will probably pop along to that. The rest of the weekend may have to be spent gardening if the weather holds up - there are a lot of weeds out there :rotfl:
Happy Friday everyone.

I've certainly helped many people become millionaires INOD - I've been doing the lottery since it started and only won twice - £25 each timeSo we think of it as a charity donation in exchange for the chance to dream a little dream. Maybe tonight's the night :rotfl:

Our guests arrived yesterday a little grumpy after thinking they'd got lost. They had in fact found us and were at the gate but either didn't trust the directions I gave or hadn't read them. It didn't help that our gate, which has the house name on it, is still away being repaired. They'd had a long journey so I'm hoping they were just tired and hungry. They seemed to perk up a little once they saw the annex. We bumped into them whilst walking FDawg this morning and they said they'd had a good night's sleep. I've promised them some of the raspberry drizzle cake I baked last night so I hope that will help towards a good review
I made a good start on the WI painting yesterday. It's not a subject I would have chosen. The theme was decided by the WI Federation for the area but we also have a theme within a theme which I wasn't involved in choosing. So I'm a bit constrained. If I'm asked next time I think I'll push back a little so I can paint something I'll enjoy a bit more. It's coming on well though.
Mr F and I have decided to go out tomorrow rather than today. There's a show on which will be a better option with FDawg in tow. So today I intend to continue with the painting and to do some gardening.
Right, better make a start.
Have a great weekend all.
