It's very annoying Wish. We try to play fair with anyone we buy products or services from so it stings a bit when someone tries to rip us off.

It's been a quiet week with Mr F away although I've had a few social events:

WI on Monday where we learnt some new ways of tying scarfs. Coffee with a friend after yoga on Wednesday. A drink in town with the local girlies last night. Approximately £25 in total which will come from personal spends. The local Council have recently stopped charging for parking after 6 pm so that is helping to keep costs down.

I've weeded the courtyard which was the last large area to get on top off. It's just a matter of keeping up with things now. All the potatoes are showing their heads so I've earthed them up just in case we get a late frost.

    Still nothing from Gate Man.

    Have a great weekend all.

Another busy few weeks so time to take stock again:

    HEALTH :j
    • I'm still going to yoga and making good progress
    • we are taking FDawg with us on our adventures as often as possible
    • I'm happy with my diet at the moment and am maintaining a good balance between healthy meals and the occasional treat.

    WEALTH :money:
    • we have completed 3 bookings of the Annex and have a further 4 due :T Feedback and reviews have all been good.
    • no significant problems with the new, new car so far. A little of the stitching on the driver's seat has come undone so I'll have to see about getting that repaired before it gets any worse
    • we have made better use of the vegetable garden this year and I'll be swopping an old strimmer with a friend for a freezer so we'll have extra storage space for any produce
    • Gate man finally responded with an offer of repair and compensation. We are meeting with him on Monday to discuss further. There is now enough in the budget for repairing the drive and the log burner.

    HAPPINESS :D
    • My nights out with the local ladies continue and I visited my nearest city recently for a shopping trip with a friend
    • we've had a lot of guests recently so our exploring adventures have been curtailed. We'll be starting them up again soon though.

We are travelling tomorrow to spend the day with DS2 for his birthday. He's having a barbeque so I've made some veggie options to take and we'll add a couple of bottles of wine courtesy of Mr F's Av10$ points. We're doing a day run as there's no telling how late/noisy things will get if we stay at their place. FDawg will be going into kennels for the night though as we won't be able to get back before closing to pick him up. His stay will cost £20 this time as we'll bath him after we pick him up - he's always stinky when he gets home for kennels :o That will come out of the fun money for the month. Other costs have been met from the monthly grocery and fuel budgets.

I can't believe it's June tomorrow  This year is going so fast. I'm a little sad that May is over as it's my favourite time of the year.

Hope all is going well peeps and happy Friday

We had a lovely time at the barbeque. I drove the new car on the motorway for the first time and it was a very comfortable drive. I think there might be a problem with one of the tyres though so will give the garage a call tomorrow,

Today we have given FDawg a bath which saved paying for the kennels to do it. Mr F and I both find it hard on our backs though. We also did a lot of work in the veg patch so it's looking much tidier now.

Lunch was Beetroot Risotto to use up the beetroot from last weeks veg box. Supper was Spring Greens & Potato Soup as I seem to have rather a lot of potatoes in the fridge.

2 of my Bay items have sold which makes a total of 5 in the last week. I've had to raise an unpaid item on a further one :(

I had a quick chat with this weekend's guest and she seems to be enjoying her stay. Hopefully she'll leave a good review.

    Happy Sunday all

I've had a productive day but didn't get through everything on my list. I might have been a bit ambitious or Mr F might have added a few unexpected things to my list
    • Gate Man arrived. He was reasonable and we have agreed a way forward :)
    • Called the garage. They are happy to replace the tyre under warranty :)
    • Left a message for our builder. We have decided to get the lower part of our patio repaired now. It's a relatively short job and we'll be able to fit it in without disturbing any guests. The edging bricks are loose and I'm worried someone will come a cropper on it. Then in October we'll have the drive done. We've blanked out October for guests as it's the month the autumn flies invade  So I won't have to worry about mess and noise. We'll do any decorating needed in the annex then too
    • Popped to the garden centre as they'd given me some vouchers with a short use by date. Bought 3 Butternut Squash plants, a Bloody Sorrel, some bamboo hoops to support the evergreen honeysuckles I planted this year and some tree ties. Also a dinner tray from their home wares section as they were a good price and I need one for the annex. Used all the vouchers, got 5% member discount and still spent £19.01 :o
    • went on line to revise Mr F's tax information as we'd received a new tax code. I'd advised them he'd been given a new company car so now they're charging him for both the new and the old cars  Hopefully the change will go through before next pay day because his pay packet will be very light otherwise

Lunch today was left over Spring Greens & Potato Soup and supper was Tomato & Goats Cheese Gnocchi. I'll have to start the shopping list this evening as the cupboards are looking a bit bare now.

Our current guest checks out tomorrow morning and seems to have enjoyed her stay. I left her a pot of my chives today as she'd admired the flowers on mine and complained that she couldn't get hers to flower. Sometimes it's just that particular plant isn't inclined to flowering so I hope she gets on better with a clump of mine.

I'll have to spend the day tomorrow turning the annex over as I'm out now on Wednesday and the next guests arrive Thursday. Not that I'm complaining. The extra cash is really taking the edge off at the moment. More guests would be very welcome :rotfl:

Hope you're week's off to a good start guys
