    Whilst watching a video on a computer with VCL there is a video button on the dashboard, pressing this starts video recording, pressing again stops and saves that segment to "my videos" on the computer.

    Couldn't see a record button, had to enable them on preferences.

    Yes you will have to set up via preferences, but you can edit with VLC.
