Sky returning customer 60% discount

Hi all

Just a quick question. I've been offered 60% off to return to sky. I'm tempted by the sky sports bundle which I can get for £19 a month for 12 months. However there's some confusion as to whether it's HD or not.

When I go for the renewal online it lists the channels and shows sky sports channels with HD in the name logo. However the final page before I but has terms and conditions which state it's £6 a month more for the sports in HD. I've messaged them on twitter two days ago but still no reply.

Does anyone know if it would be including the sports channels in HD or not?

Sports in HD is an extra cost (£6). If you don't select HD you will only receive SD sports.

You have to have the box set bundle to get HD at extra cost and then another £6pm to get it on Sport.

It's annoying that they list all the channels with the HD logo on the £19 sports pack with no mention of the additional £6 until you read the small print.

HD is only in the logo to show that it's available in HD. Since HD still attracts a premium, you'll have to pay extra to get it.

Personally, I wouldn't accept a deal online. Ring them and see what else you can coax out of them

So to get 1 sports channel in HD it will cost £62 a month or £744 for the year before discounts. WOW. No wonder there's so much illegal streaming gong on.

If you're not a Sky customer at the moment then 75% seems to be the norm for returning customers (usually plus credit). That will offset the HD cost (way beyond time they scrapped that bit imho).
