PCN from UKCPS - does it make sense?

Hi everyone,
A driver of my car has recently got a window sticker from UKCPS...
The driver is inclined to believe it was unfair as the "private land" sign starts further away on the side of the road where the car was parked and there were no yellow lines at all and now I as a car keeper not sure what to do...
The link to google street view is here (please remove all the spaces to view, I'm a newbie so can't post links properly!):
tiny url . com / ydzalla2
The driver has come from the right and parked sort of in between where these silver and white cars are parked on the street view (paradoxically, even on street view this white car from street view already has got a yellow PCN on the wind screen!)
There is a signage on the right but the driver assumed it referred to the right hand side of the entrance and the territory behind the fence. And the one further away at the entrance on the beige wall looks like it is for those entering the factory territory as it also imposed a 5 mph speed limit on top. So for the driver it meant "the limitations from 30 mph to 5 and parking regulations apply from here").
So, essentially the driver parked like between those two cars on Street View and my car and the car in front (like the white one) has got PCNs, and the one behind has got a sort of simplistic "parking permit" displayed referring to the company in the building behind.
Now i'm not sure if the driver actually parked illegally as there's no indication whatsoever that this particular area is indeed a private land and parking permit (from whom?) is required.
Any advices?

Sure, it's Sweet street in Leeds, entrance to the Fernway Ltd, just opposite to Siddall street. You will see the white and silver cars at the entrance to recognise the place...0

You can insert the link if you change http to hxxp, and make a break in the short URL link.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
