Sky - Renew or put in another name?

Hi all,
I recently moved in with my girlfriend, her Sky TV / broadband deal is running out this month. As I have just moved in, I could set up a new account in my name and get cashback / possibly a good deal.
However, could we not also just cancel the current one, in the hope of a better offer? Can anyone see any drawback to this? (Cancellation charges vs line takeover charges) or anything similar?
Thanks in advance.

I doubt if you could get a better price being a new customer.
The best bet is usually to cancel and wait for the best offers but have a look through these posts https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5310751 if you have a few hours to spare!0
