5 weeks? You're complaining about 5 weeks? I had someone reverse into me and it remained on my CUE record as a fault claim for 10 months (until the 3rd party paid the claim and CUE was updated).0

I'm pretty sure any reasonable person could have settled my case in one afternoon....
1) Get details of the crash
2) Watch the video link I sent them to confirm liability (30 second job)
4) Offer a reasonable settlement.
Instead it was a case of, 'not my department', 'need to refer to a manager', 'haven't got time to watch the dash cam footage', 'need to wait for someone else to look at the car' etc
The lack of efficiency of insurance companies to sort out claims am sure is contributing as much to the cost of our premiums as actual claims.0 -
Thanks all for your input,No further advice is required...

More input would be nice actually - after receiving advice on the forum, it's nice if you come back and let us all know the outcome...0 -

I went with a very very good AMC ..........
Total time from accident to final settlement for my case= 5 weeks!!!
When you hand your case to an AMC then it's irrelevant to you how long they take to get paid.
You don't have to worry about any of the problems experienced when s claim is handled by your insurer (eg temporary loss of Ncd/ no excess to pay and pursue/ no hassle if your renewal comes whilst the claim is awaiting settlement)0
