Made a daft mistake paying off my card, should I argue over it?

I have a virgin money card with 30 months 0% on money transfer. Used this to make a purchase and I pay off £100 out of my salary every four weeks. Because I get paid weekly I put aside £25 and pay it off every 4 times, within a day or two of having it to hand.
Now you can probably see where this is going, basically I paid for May on time but then 4 weeks later wound up paying for June too early. I paid £100 on Jun 02, and then got billed on the 4th. I didn't pay again until after that bill was due.
I was charged £9 for this. I can see that technically this is my fault although still feel annoyed because I'm obviously a frequent, good payer.
The biggest kicker though, is that I lost my promotional rate as per T&Cs and got charged interest of £25. With £1500 left to pay, this is obviously undesirable.
I'm waiting for a call back on whether they can put me back on a promotional rate. If not should I fight it? And even if they put me straight back to 0%, should I try and get my £34 back?
If they won't help me, I'm going to transfer elsewhere because obviously I'm going to pay a fair bit of interest my remaining balance if I don't.
Edit: just seen Halifax has a 0% no fee, is this for real? Might be worth moving there anyway....

When they phone, apologise, and offer to set up a DD so it doesn't happen again.
If you're contrite enough, you may get the promo back.
But certainly don't 'argue over it'.0 -
Good point! Poorly worded on my part, I'm not the type to get irate on the phone anyway, I really just wondered whether I had a leg to stand on.0

Not a legal or contractual one.
But if you can make the guy or gal* on the end of the phone feel good about helping you, who knows...

my experience of CC companies is if you have no bad history with them, they tend to let you off and treat it as a one off.
So be polite, explain the mistake and I expect they will add the promotional rate back.0
