Warning not to use Groupon deal on Samsung TVs

Hi Everybody,
I'm new to these forums. I just wanted to send a warning, and to see if anyone else has had this problem with Groupon.
I ordered a Samsung 4K TV. In the details it says 7 day delivery, it is well over 7 days and Groupon have not delivered. The customer service department are very unhelpful saying they do not know when it will be delivered. Worse still I'm moving house on Friday so won't get it if it doesn't come by then.
Any one else have issues with Groupon or this deal in particular?
Cheers
Ed

"Any one else have issues with Groupon?"
Oh, yes, indeed. Awful company, have stopped using them.
I used to use them for restaurant deals, but no longer. Either the restauranteur was peeved at having to honour the deal, so they placed restrictions on what could be ordered, gave small portions and generally made you feel as if you were only being fed begrudgingly (and who wants a treat like a restaurant meal, feeling like you're applying for charity?); or Groupon itself was the problem:
- Offering ridiculously short-dated deals, hoping you would not fit a booking in on time, and then they got to keep your money;
- Changing the expiry date of a deal, and telling you you had missed it and lost your money!
- Using tennis-ball tactics when complaints arose - just batting you across the net, back to the restauranteur, when it clearly wasn't their fault on e.g terms of deal - essentially, just trying to run you, the complainer, out of effort and will to pursue - again, so they could get to keep the money and provide nothing for it.
I had to use the 'Resolver' complaints service against them; write innumerable emails etc of complaint, and threaten them with Trading Standards, before I got my money back.
Horrible. Don't use.0 -
I used Groupon once and never again, learnt my lesson. I'd ordered a selection pack of German lagers, wasn't in when they attempted delivery but when I went to collect the goods it was like it had been used as a football, could hear broken glass inside and the box was damp.
Took photos of the box and contacted Groupon and asked for a refund, did my best to get a refund, they gave me a £10 credit to use, maybe wasn't persistent enough but I did contact the brewery/where ever the goods were from and they gave me a partial refund.0 -
I must be lucky then as i have used them many times without problems, both ordering goods and days out and hotel acomodation0

Same here.
Never ordered goods but had some great hotel deals that could not get anywhere else.
Also booked afternoon tea and also been given gifts of afternoon tea and been treated just like any other customer.0
