  • Good on you with the AFD days! I often have trouble sleeping but have such a bad cold at the moment that I've been taking those day/night cold tablets. The nighttime ones are really knocking me out - it's the best sleep I've had in ages! :p
  • I tried night nurse once, its awful stuff and made me feel like I was constantly in a lift but a really good nights sleep with it.

Hope you're feeling better soon xx
  • I'm trying to be good and do Mon to Thurs but some times even that's testing :rotfl:

DS is hoping to get into the Air Force and DD wants to be a Guide leader, so doubtful at the moment that they'll give it up.

My best friend from primary school never left the guides :rotfl:. She was a guide leader for years and is now in a top leadership role in the guides and she's 53 :rotfl:.

It's great that they have ambitions :).

  • Is it me or is the new eBay radio advert annoying? It doesn't give me any inclination to sell anything on there

Busy day today, done the majority of Level 1 of flylady, just a few bits left to do.

Bins and recycling emptied today, back to normal on Friday now they've caught up on Christmas :D

Food shop delivered and top up shop done, just need to buy chicken next weekend.

    Weekly round up:

    Good things

    Managed 3 AFD's
    Did flylady today
Took DH's painting to be fixed - £10
    Managed 4 NSD's
Bought remainder of DH's birthday presents
Took my lunch to work 4 days in a row
Kept up with checking the bank account
    Kept up with meal plan

    Bad things

DS ran up his mobile bill by buying data add ons - he's now on a PAYG phone from CPW :rotfl:
Didn't get 4 AFD's, must try harder next week
The wire in my new bra came out :(

    Things left to do

Sew more badges on DD's blanket
Complete form for DD to go ice skating with Guides next week
Change our bed and wash bedding
Make beef & ale pie tomorrow for dinner
    Ironing - Booo hate it!
    Sort lunch for Monday
Check kids do homework & sign their planners
    Fix my bra
    Go for a walk

First pair of DH's cufflinks arrived during the week, the Lego block ones and the cufflink box came today, they look really cool and I'm impressed.
  • I can usually do four AFDs a week when I'm in work. I try to make sure i do, and I agree with Hairy that I seem to sleep much better.

How did you do with the rest of the list? x

I'm leaving the rest until tomorrow, I'm too tired now to do any more.

The cufflinks were from an Etsy? (I think that's how you spell it) store, I was originally going to get him some Lego mini figure ones but figured he'd probably wear the bricks ones more. The bike chain ones are really cute and definitely something different.

    These are the ones:

    Lego - https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/166920716/chrome-silver-brick-cufflinks-handmade?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=lego%20cufflinks&ref=sr_gallery-1-2

    Bike chain - https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/247677062/bicycle-bike-chain-cufflinks-made-from?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=bike%20chain%20cufflinks&ref=sr_gallery-1-13

    Hope the links work.
  • They look really good Purplemum, a nice change from the usual sort :).
