  • Thanks ladies, very quiet on site today but I guess not everyone is back at work yet.

Finances checked and notes made of what is due to come out.

Gas and Electric bill has been paid.

    Flylady today:

Tuesday ~ Kitchen and Living Room
    Level One
    S&S Kitchen
    Empty out bins
    Wipe/scrub sink
    Level Two
    Straighten up cushions/covers/displaced toys etc..
Move clutter so you can vacuum under it
Vacuum and wipe (if needed) sofas
Dust any areas below eye level
Find homes for new appliances/books that you may have received for Christmas
    Level Three
Dust anything above eye level (if safe to do so)
Clear anything that shouldn't be where it is..maybe the Christmas tree if don’t want to wait till 12th night
Look for the good in others and notice their strengths..

Extra Mission Tasks - as usual if you fancy tackling something else you could try one or more of these•Check the useby dates on stuff in fridge, double check your fruit bowl – do you need to get rid of anything furry or a funny colour?
•Wipe the bits next to the steps on the stairs, yours might be skirting board, edging of some sort, grab a cloth and give it a wipe

Aiming to get at least Level 1 done after work tonight.

  • you've inspired me to take another look at flylady. I've started many times with good intentions but not kept with it, which is stupid really as it's easy enough to do the basics. Will try harder :o

I've done the kitchen, I've been rubbish at doing flylady since they stopped handing out stars many years ago but back in the day it helped me transform our tiny tip of a home into something saleable. We moved to somewhere twice the size and promptly filled it with junk, as you do.

I'm shocking at keeping up with housework! I always have to have a blitz because I let it get lapse. x

  • Morning,

It's Wednesday and the kids go back to school tomorrow :j

Managed a NSD and LTW day yesterday but not an AFD, I only had a beer and one glass of wine and I did sleep better for it. Will aim for an AFD today.

Lunch with me today, trying to use bits up in the fridge.

Need to get in touch with the car finance company if my settlement letter hasn't come by the end of today, I rang on the 26th December so I'm hoping that it will come today.

Managed to save DH's shirt, when he was in the office yesterday, he was scratching his back with a pen and accidentally pressed the top and ended up with biro on his back **rolls eyes** load of Vanish and a wash and it's come out.

Need to put the washer on a service wash, something stinks in the kitchen and I think its that, if not, it'll be the fridge.

Our bed has been made this morning and dinner is something easy....ham, egg and chips or ham, chips and peas for DD as she doesn't like eggs.

Clear a hotspot., or spend 15 minutes clearing one.
Do three extra acts of kindess fpr other people.

Extra tasks list, as usual choose one or more

•27 fling boogie time, time for that midweek fling, go on grab a bag and clear that clutter
    •Clean windows in these rooms
•Check the airing cupboard, anything that is way past it's use by (maybe recycle for rags if possible, you could donate old sheets oor towels to a local animal rescue for bedding)
•Clean tops of wardrobes and drawers (if safe to do so, no pregnant flyladies on ladders please delegate the job instead)
•Check through undies drawers, anything more holy than the church which needs to go/be repaired? Anyone need anything replacing?
•Give everyone at home a bag to collect the things which belong to them that are not where they should be, give them 15 minutes to find them all and put them away You could threaten to bin whatever is left if they don't seeing as everyones being quite ruthless this week
  • Afternoon,

Spoke to a nice lady at the car finance place and the settlement letter has been emailed over to me...one thing ready for the weekend.

One survey on PA done, so that's inching up slowly.

DH did his tax return yesterday and is due a rebate...not a massive amount but will cover TP accident, so that can come off the Cap One card once it hits the bank account.
