No turkey soup for me - but I will be looking at the Superdrug sales to see if there is anything suitable to put away for next year. I've decided to put all the presents in an unused suitcase so I don't lose them in the mess and wonder what happened next Christmas!
Your big list has inspired me to not only make my own list, but make plans to actually get it all done. I did get a fair bit done this year but nowhere near as much as I would have liked too. 2018 is going to be a good year - I can't wait for it to start!0 -
Morning,
This week is flying by, I'll have been back at work a few days already this time next week.
List for today, looks like this:
Freeze stock
Help DD with her castle
Buy hair dye and a glue stick
Stocktake of freezer
Meal plan for January
Change our bed
Housework
DD is looking much better today, so think she's now out of her cold....finally.
Didn't do the dump run yesterday so will do that when I go and get the hair dye.
First things first, breakfast is needed.
Back later.0 -

Morning,
The flu/horrendous cold thingy hit me like a train yesterday afternoon and I was in bed very early. Still feel like carp but got things to organise.
Pay day yesterday, so salaries paid back in to the current account.
CC's have been paid and signature updated. Reiterated to DH that I plan to pay off £4000 next year. Apart from accident with TP, nothing has been put on the CC's for a very long time, may be things are changing....bet I've jinxed it now! :rotfl:
Need to go through the freezer today and sort a small shopping list out. This should cover us for two weeks, I then will do an online shop for the remainder of the month. I can't keep going to the shop each week as I go silly.
Must pay the gas/electric bill too. I'm liking that it no longer costs us £500 - £600 per quota. I'm still going to do a check once the winter bill comes through in March/April.
Apart from background issues, Christmas has been good.0 -
Oh no Pmo2 I hope you feel better soon.
Your list of things to do has made me realise that I need to keep posting lists on my diary as somehow it makes me want to do the items in the list more.
I hope you get done what you need to do today even with feeling rotten.0 -
I hope you are able to rest for a few days and recover!0

So food shop didn't happen and neither did going through the freezer.
Instead, we solved a problem with my car and have traded it in. It will cost me an extra £1.25pm but in the long run, it'll work out cheaper, especially based on my mileage. Current ones won't let me adjust my mileage, so their loss and I'd pay more, hence the problem.
I know buying a used car isn't something that should be done in debt but there are no real changes so no difference and I'll save money on the insurance as its a cheaper bracket.
I pick it up next Saturday.
Not a gloating post. Can't really tell my family so wanted to put it down here.0 -
If it is better in the long run, then it will be worth it for you. Paying less insurance/fuel and tax can also make something much more beneficial. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x0 -
Morning,
New Years Eve already? I'm actually quite looking forward to starting a brand new year and to be able to cross things off my 218 list.
After yesterday taking far too much time, I've loads I need to do today. My list looks like this:- Mini food shop - DONE just need bits
- Online food shop for the rest of the month - I'm going to hold off on this one, as may not be needed i.e. I think we've enough already
- Sort dinner out - roast beef today - to be done next
- Get kids to change their beds - it's like fighting a battle with slime!
- Find my car stuff and make sure all together
My list for next week:- £10 allowance
- Lunches to work
- 3 AFD's
- 3 NSD's
- Surveys - need to work on this one
- Ring insurance company regarding change of car
- Check finances daily
Survey wise, I'm waiting for a few bits to clear on PA, so I can cash out, this will come off the BC
I was hoping to go for a walk today but it's blowing like mad and raining so that may not happen.0
