Morning and merry Christmas, I hope everyone has been suitably spoilt.

DD has woken up with the most horrendous cold and I still not feeling 100%

Still turkey is in the oven cooking away and I'm half tempted to open some bubbly.

Hope you felt a bit better to enjoy your Xmas day, you've reminded me that I need to buy a new diary plus I want a whiteboard for the kitchen to plan the weeks meals/activities/picking up ds from school (dh,dd & I will be taking it in turns to save him from going to after school club).

Morning,

What a dark and miserable one it is too, hope it shifts.

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas, ours was nice but I'm now itching for 2018 to start.

DD is still full of a cold but much better than she was on Christmas Day.

I ordered some bits from superdrug in the sales for stocking fillers for the kids next year. I'm determined that we will be organised next year, it's only the move that kind of messed up my planning this year.

Part of my list is to be more organised and I've decided to make a start now. So my plan for today looks like this:

• Sort new tyre out on car - Dont ask - DONE
• Dump run
• Help DD make her castle for her school project
• Help DD make her gingerbread house - present off aunty and uncle - DONE
• Strip turkey and freeze meat - DONE
• Make stock - DONE
• Make spicy turkey soup for dinner

At some point I need to do an inventory of the freezer and see what we have/need. One for tomorrow I think.

Me too DIA, I do the same recipe but change it to chicken during the year. Filling and full of goodness from the stock

Two pots of stock on the go on the hob, once ready I can make the soup and should be able to freeze some of it.

Helped DD make her gingerbread house, she's currently eating the bits that didn't make decorations on it lol
