Advice about my first win in a competition. 5 Star break in London

Hi, I've had my first win today but need advice.....

I received this email by entering a competition and nominating my mother for a pamper weekend. I had to write why she deserved it and send in a photo. If she cannot get these dates off work, could I possibly take someone else or will it have to be the nominated person??

The T&C's are below this email. The email does say I have won and it asks who I am taking with me. I emailed Laura from the PR company with my name & my partners name and they replied straight away saying they would send out an itinerary for the day so do you think it is ok to take my partner instead? I didn't really want to ask the company incase I bring it to their attention.

This is my first win and I don't want to lose the proze. I would really appreciate any advice whether its your oppinion or whether you've been in a similar situation.

Thanks for any help

Michelle x

Hi there,
[FONT=Verdana, Helvetica, Arial]
CONGRATULATIONS!

You have won the chance to be pampered and meet Emma Bunton thanks to Supersoft Smoothies.

Schwarzkopf have decided that the dates for this fantastic treat will be Thursday 18 and 19 October and will now include 2 nights accommodation in a 4 star hotel located in the bustling Leicester Square. You will meet Emma, be whisked off to get your hair and make up done, enjoy a personal shopping trip with £100 worth of vouchers to spend and also be treated to an evening of culture with theatre tickets of your choice.

A full itinerary is currently being prepared but please can you come back to me as soon as possible on an email stating that you would like to win, then let me know where you will need to travel from and the name of the person you will be bringing with you and whether you need a twin or double room.

Well done and we look forward to seeing you there!

Best wishes
Laura

T's&C's Standard terms and conditions apply and all entries must be received by August 28 2007. The prize is non refundable and non exchangeable. The winner must be available to spend 2 days in London in October on a date to be determined by Schwarzkopf. The Judges decision is final

    Congratulations!
I won this as well after nominating my sister. Hopefully my sister and I are going together but as the email isn't actually addressed to anyone I don't see why as you sent the entry that you can't take someone else.
I have just replied to them with both our names etc, so I would suggest that as you've sent details of the names of who you want to go and they seem to have accepted it then that's OK.
BTW I haven't had a reply to my email yet. Let me know how it goes, hopefully see you there.:D

Well Done To Both Of You On Your Wins :T

I think if it was me I would just give the PR company another quick email, just to confirm your partners details, only because it does seem like a very organised trip and as your meeting a celebrity they possible will be giving them a heads up on who there meeting. I shouldn't imagine that it would be a problem at all, and as you say you have already mentioned it in your prior email, but I personally would want to find out before going down, rather than just turning up and risking it. Hope you have a lovely time :)
  • Hi Tiggertail, congratulations to you too, hopefully I'll see you there and your sister. I'm so excited! Thanks for your reply.
