To find out you would need to get hold of the paperwork SIP sent you (they have to provide all data they hold on you if you ask) and copies of the court paperwork. The court will provide these.

You seem to be struggling to find this so here is a link http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=64350577&postcount=2

You really, really, really need to spend this evening reading it. Scroll to near the end and read about set asides.

Do I even have a case though? It's my fault I didn't update my address. I did appeal against it via email at the time. I didn't receive a reply back so thought it had been accepted. SIP are saying they did reply to me via email. I didn't receive it though.

You have a case to set aside the CCJ, if it was sent to an old address. The NEWBIES thread post #2 tells you how.

    Stop ringing a parking firm.

Update your log book now like everyone else with a default CCJ here does, and stop panicking.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Aw thank you, I feel a bit more reassured about it. Do I not need to show that I have a case against the charge too? I've read that I need to also show I may have won my case if I went to court.

I updated my log book in February.

Yes you should be able to show you have reasonable prospects of success, which could be some well-angled photos showing that the signs are not readable, and not commenting about the parking event (too long ago to be sure which day this might have been, and after all you haven't even seen the claim!).

I also urge you NOW to go right back through ALL your posts and edit them, I saw stuff about who parked and what happened. Not good on a public parking forum.

Could I send you a PM? I've a question to ask but don't want it on a public forum.

    No.

You get a ccj from the date it's handed down.

It stays on the register for 6 years unless paid in full within 30 days or you win a set aside or appeal the judgement successfully.

Ive tried to send you a PM but says your folder is full. Would you mind if I PMed you?
